Luerssen and Manson; a perfect fit
Challenge
High quality superyacht manufacturer Luerssen called on Manson Anchors, sister company of Bowmaster, to equip their new launch, M/Y TIS with a pair of 2295kg stainless steel Kedge Anchors. The anchors were a standard design but the pocket to anchor tolerance was extremely tight.
Solution
All plates were cut to tolerance, then measured accurately when they moved into the fabrication area. The anchor was then tack welded for a class inspection, it was also 3D scanned using Manson’s inhouse scanning facility.
A comparison was made back to the original 3D model that the client had signed off. This comparison was then sent to the yard for final signoff to be within the exacting tolerance.
The anchors and swivels were delivered and the fitment on site was perfect.
