Anchors that complement the bow
Challenge
The Manson Anchors team were asked to design and fabricate two Plough Anchors for a 107ft motor yacht.
The 100R-105 was a new yacht for the Hatteras fleet and was to be the flagship yacht of their customizable motor yacht range. They were looking for two bow anchors to complement the new model.
Hatteras Yachts are known for sports fishing and luxury, so the yacht would be used in varying offshore conditions. This varied activity was taken into consideration when discussing what anchor type and material would be most suited for the project.
Solution
The Manson team fabricated two 137kg/ 300lb mirror polished stainless steel Plough Anchors.
The Manson Plough is Lloyd’s Register Type Approved as a HHP (High Hiding Power) anchor.
Since the first project, the Manson Anchors team have developed a strong relationship with Hatteras Yachts and built many more anchors.
The fabrication process was straight forward for the team and the end result looked fantastic.
